2BG Equestrian School believes that each rider is an individual with unique learning styles and goals. Lesson plans are developed around each rider's needs and long term goals. Lessons consist of learning how to prepare a horse for riding, the basic skills needed to safely control the horse and how to care for the horse when the lesson comes to an end.
Each lesson is enhanced by engaging the rider in age appropriate games and activities that allow him/her to practice the skills being taught. Exercises while mounted are included to increase strength, muscle tone, coordination, and balance.
Working with goals of P.T.'s, O.T.'s, Speech/Language, and I.E.P's is welcome and encouraged for those riders with special needs.
Lessons can be private to allow for focused, individual attention, or semi-private (up to 3 per class). All of this can carry over into daily life to improve the physical, mental, and emotional well being of the student.
